A dynamic construction business is seeking a commercially focused, client-facing Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction capability and play a key role in shaping and winning future work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging directly with clients and stakeholders while collaborating closely with senior leadership, project managers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Reporting directly to directors and shareholders, you’ll have visibility and influence at the highest level of the business. You’ll also join a supportive team in a collaborative environment.
It’s perfect for those who may have run their own business and want to step away from chasing invoices, or for confident estimators looking to progress into project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead tendering and bid submissions for regional government and commercial refurbishment projects
- Develop pricing strategies, cost plans, and methodologies
- Attend client meetings and presentations, including government agencies
- Mentor and support a junior estimator
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure buildability, programme alignment, and cost control
- Contribute to the development of pre-construction processes and commercial systems
- Support business development and maintain strong client relationships
About You:
- Proven experience as an Estimator, Commercial Estimator, or Bid Manager
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in cost control and risk management
- Experience with regional government or commercial refurbishment projects (preferred)
- Confident, personable, and able to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Collaborative, positive, and ego-free mindset
- Interest in broader business involvement beyond pure estimating
- Must be an Australian citizen
